This is a delightful, dog-friendly cafe. We had a delicious Vietnamese Shredded Chicken Salad. It really was a special dish. The coffee and cakes were extremely nice too. We chatted to the proprietor, who was a lovely friendly lady. Tables on the seafront just across from the cafe, too. This really is a must visit in Port Ellen.
What a lovely little place! On holiday on Isla and popped in here for lunch it was delicious! I had bagel with chicken & pesto it was packed with chicken and a lovely side salad too! Hubby had a cheese & ham toasty both were delicious! We finished with a rocky road which was probably the nicest we have ever had and a pot of tea for two! The ladies were both very friendly and attentive and the food was very reasonably priced. We hope to return before we leave the island. The cafe is dog friendly too! There were 3 lovely little pooches in there on our visit enjoying a treat . Definitely recommend popping in here if you are on Islay.
I didn’t expect to find much in the way of food or coffee on the island of Islay since it’s so small, but was glad to have found @little_charlottes_cafe which had freshly brewed tea, great coffee, sandwiches, bagels and home made cakes! I also loved the kids play room which was good for Lennox to play! Staff don’t say much but get the food made and coffee done efficiently, they also clean up fast
Lovely cafe with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Ham and cheese toasties is super yummy, cheesy and loads of ham. And great selection of tea, proper loose leaves Jasmine tea too. And very reasonable prices which hard to find on this island.
This place was a balm to our weary and hungry hearts after a very difficult travel day. We had been struggling to get to the island and do the distilleries and stopped in at this place for a quick bite to eat. The host greeted us happily and explained the specials. The food was delicious. It's clearly a local favorite as more customers started to come in as we were eating, to the point some had to leave as there were no local spots. Our latte and cappuccino were smooth and creamy, just the pick me uo we needed, served in such beautiful mugs. I had the smoked salmon and avacado sandwich that was piled high with both. No skimping on ingredients here. Highly recommend this place to any travelers venturing to this part of the island.
